Pavon
Hey fellow coffee lovers, welcome to my very first blog post! Today, I’m kicking off this caffeinated journey by sharing my experience at Pavon—a hidden gem that perfectly blends a cozy vibe with the ideal ambiance to get some work done (or just lose yourself in a good book).

From the moment I stepped in, I could tell Pavon was something special. The shop was buzzing with life: a mix of laptop warriors in deep concentration and social groups lounging on couches and chatting over their drinks. Despite the flurry of activity, the space maintained a comfortable, balanced energy—lively enough to keep you stimulated without drowning out your thoughts.
I began my visit with a plain latte that was anything but plain. Adorned with delicate lotus flower coffee art, it was almost too pretty to drink (almost!). That moment of artful caffeine was quickly followed by a bite of a heavenly beef sausage and cheese croissant. It was savory and satisfying, a delicious nod to the idea that sometimes a simple pastry can be a real treat. Not one to settle for just one coffee fix, I later indulged in a vanilla rose latte—a playful, slightly floral twist that was both unexpected and delightful.

What really made Pavon stand out, though, was the overall atmosphere. The interior is a cozy haven with charming touches everywhere: each table is graced with a live yellow flower in a vase, brightening the space and adding a dash of natural beauty. There are comfy couches and strategically placed chairs that create little pockets of intimacy, perfect for deep work or relaxed conversations. Although there’s an outdoor patio with plenty of tables and chairs, the chilly weather kept me (and everyone else) inside on this February day.

The pastry selection at Pavon might be modest—mostly a range of different croissants with a few sweet breads, cookies, and macarons—but it’s clear they’ve mastered the art of quality over quantity. Each pastry feels thoughtfully made, a simple yet effective complement to the expertly crafted coffee.
I also have to give a shoutout to the staff. Right from the entrance, I was greeted with genuine smiles and warm welcomes. The barista that took my order at the register wore a friendly smile and was quick to answer any questions I had about the menu. The employee that delivered my latte to me even struck up a conversation with me about photography after noticing my camera sitting on the table.
Logistics-wise, parking can be a bit of a challenge. Street parking around Pavon is scarce, but there’s a generous lot right next door. Just be mindful that it occasionally gets a bit crowded, thanks to the bustling neighboring restaurant. Still, a little extra search for parking is a small price to pay for such a delightful coffee stop.

As the afternoon turned into evening, Pavon transformed into a cozy, slightly romantic haven. The warm lighting and inviting decor create an atmosphere that’s perfect for unwinding after a long day. Whether you’re looking for a quiet corner to study or a friendly spot to catch up with pals, Pavon seems to have mastered the art of balancing comfort and character.
In short, my visit to Pavon was a blend of productivity, indulgence, and genuine connection. It’s a reminder that the best coffee shops aren’t just about the drinks and pastries—they’re about the experience, the people you meet, and those small details that make each visit memorable. I’m excited to continue exploring other coffee spots in the city and sharing my adventures with you all.
Stay tuned, stay caffeinated, and here’s to many more delightful coffee escapades!
